Michelle Lordi is receiving national and international acclaim for her 2017 vocal jazz album, DREAM A LITTLE DREAM,a briskly swinging set of standards featuring some of Philadelphia’s most revered jazz veterans.
Her album, DRIVE ( released 2015), received national and international critical success, reaching the top 60 on the Jazz charts and widespread acclaim. DRIVE was produced by and features Lordi’s frequent collaborator pianist Orrin Evans. “Drive” takes listeners on a captivating personal journey, mining favorites from her varied repertoire of American Songbook classics and modern pop hits. MIchelle has performed in jazz clubs and music venues such as Birdland, Maureen’s, SMOKE (NY) Cliff Bell’s,( Detroit, MI) BluJazz ( Akron, OH) Bop Stop ( Cleveland, OH) Dazzle ( Denver, CO) South, Philadelphia Art Museum, Mann Music Center, Kimmel Center ( Philadelphia, PA) Birchmere (VA) and many other fine jazz clubs, festivals and musical venues.
Michelle is a Jazz Standards teaching artist for the Kimmel Center in Philadelphia, PA and provides outreach education to students in Philadelphia Schools.
Michelle also demonstrates her passion for bringing generations of jazz fans and musicians together by curating one of Philadelphia’s longest lived weekly Jazz Sessions at Vintage Bar & Grill in Abington, PA
